I can't tell you how many times I've heard this blanket statement from bourbon drinkers - "I don't like scotch." Like scotch is just one flavor profile.
That's why I wanted to have a little Scotch 101 discussion, talking about regions, peat smoke vs fruity, age, proof, and what scotch to start with, with my guest Ed Kohl, a scotch whisky distributor who has spent a couple decades helping Americans understand scotch.
